Jessica Elway’s Parents and Their Marriage
She was born on October 17, 1985, to John and Janet Elway, in Englewood, Colo, the United States. Her parents first met when they were at Stanford and got married in 1984.
However, their marriage ended in divorce in 2003, after about 19 years of marital relationship. Following their divorce, Jessica’s mother, Janet, got involved in a couple of relationships, but neither of them became long-lasting.

Jessica, who belongs to a family deeply rooted in sports, is a former basketball player. She first played basketball at Cherry Creek High School and also captained her team for three years. She led her high school to a second-place finish in the 2004 state tournament, winning honors like Second-Team All-State, All-Tournament Team, and First-Team All-Centennial League.
The four-time letter winner also became the Most Valuable Player of the Deep South Classic Tournament.
Following her marvelous high school seasons, John’s daughter became a part of the women’s basketball team at Stanford, leading her squad to the final game of the 2004 5A Colorado Tournament. While playing for the team, Elway won All-Centennial League First Team honors in her junior and senior years.
