Stacey Nagy is the wife of American football coach Matt Nagy. After going undrafted in the 2001 NFL Draft, Nagy made his mark in the AFL. Now, he is the offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs. His career has taken quite a leap.
Throughout the ups and downs of his career, his high school sweetheart has been by his side. Their relationship, spanning decades, has been strengthened by time. The pair are parents now and love spending time with them.
She Was Dating Someone Else When They Met
Born on January 30, 1976, to Frederick and Sandra States in Pennsylvania, Nagy went to Manheim Central High School, where her paths crossed with Matt. The 50-year-old is two years older than her spouse.
Stacey was Matt’s senior in high school.Moreover, Stacey was in a relationship with their school’s star running back. But Matt eventually got around to asking her out. They went to a basketball game together and totally fell in love.
After all the wait and struggles on Matt’s end, they finally started dating in 1994. Their journey was not easy. In his senior year, Stacey went to another college after completing high school, and they were forced to continue their relationship from a distance.
Regardless, their love prevailed, leading up to their wedding in 2002. The coach has openly credited his wife for making him who he is. In his own words,

Their journey began as lovers more than three decades ago, and they have been married for over two decades, but one thing that has never changed is their love for each other.
Do Matt’s Children Follow In His Footsteps?
Matt and Stacey are parents to four children: Brayden, Tate, and the fraternal twins, Jaxon and Jett. Brayden and Tate were born while Matt was still playing football.
Brayden, the oldest, plays quarterback and experienced negativity from opposing fans, leading to an apology from Cary-Grove HS.

Originally, Matt and Stacey intended to raise their children in Mount Joy without plans for a football career. However, Matt’s coaching opportunity with the Chiefs changed their direction.
Bought a Lavish House in 2018
Stacey’s hard work and strong support for her husband have paid off as they enjoy a luxurious lifestyle. In 2018, the couple purchased a six-bedroom house for $2.75 million.
After renovating and making several changes, they listed the mansion for $6.2 million and eventually sold it for $4.45 million.
Following the sale, they bought a property in Overland Park, Kansas, for $2.9 million. This 7,014-square-foot home features six bedrooms and three fireplaces.
The Nagy Pair Are Generous People
The Nagys have generously supported causes important to them. In 2023, they donated significantly to UD Athletics for a facilities project.
In 2021, they started the Nagy Family Be You Scholarship at Manheim, which awards $11,000 each to one female and one male senior student-athlete annually. Camdyn Lehman and Kade Kegarise were the recipients that year. The family conducts personal interviews with the students before awarding the scholarships.
Stacey is a private person.They both have a background in teaching. Matt has experience teaching elementary and high school, while Stacey teaches health and physical education at Cedar Crest High School.
Despite her involvement in charity work, Stacey keeps a low profile. Although there’s an account on X (formerly Twitter) with the couple’s picture, it’s unconfirmed if it belongs to her. Despite her husband’s public status, she remains out of the public eye.
