The pair’s love story began in the late 1980s. Rod knew that he was in love the first time he met Nickie in 1989, and their races would not be a hindrance.

Rod didn’t want to brag about his profession, so he answered, “Meh. I work.” Because of this answer, Nickie thought that the man was either jobless or dealing drugs.

A year into their relationship, the Woodsons had their first child, Marikah Shardea, in 1990. After officially tying the knot, Nickie gave birth to their second child, Demitri, on November 25, 1992.
Later, on June 25, 1996, the couple had their third child, Tia, followed by the birth of their fourth kid, Jairus, on February 23, 1998. Lastly, the pair had their youngest daughter, Nemiah, on February 8, 2000.
All Woodson kids have settled into their lives, and some have even started their own families.
The pair’s eldest daughter, Marikah, is the executive chef and general manager at Gordon Ramsay Fish and Chips in Las Vegas.
