Beth Baalke’s Father Was A Teacher

Beth was born on May 7, 1965, to Layne Paul and Irene Buckingham in Kenyon. She was raised alongside her siblings: Stephanie, Layne Peter, Brice, Leslie, and Cresse Buckingham. Sadly, Leslie and Cresse are no more.

As for her father, he passed away on January 3, 2016, at the age of 85. A graduate of Plainview High School, Layene worked as a firefighter in the US Air Force for four years. Following that, he was a teacher for over 30 years at Kenyon High School, teaching Math, Industrial Arts, and Drivers Education.

Similar to her deceased old man, Baalke has been an educator for years. With 20-plus years of experience in her hands, she joined the School District of Tomahawk as a Health teacher in 2018. She previously worked at Thompson Valley High School.

However, it remains unknown if Beth is still employed at the school. There is information about her involvement in the school’s affairs until 2023. Could it be she is enjoying retirement with her husband now?

Beth Was A Standout Basketball Player

Mrs. Baalke attended Kenyon High School and graduated from Bemidji State University in 1989. She was a standout basketball player in school and college.

As a part of the Bemidji 1985-86 women’s basketball team, she led them to Northern Sun Conference Champions and NAIA District 13 Champions alongside an NAIA Bi-District VI Championship Game appearance. Because of this, the team was inducted into the Kenyon-Wanamingo High School Hall of Fame in 2011.

Additionally, Beth played volleyball and softball and was a five-year letter winner in softball and a three-year letter winner in volleyball.

Beth Baalke Was Also A Coach

After her graduation, Beth officiated basketball games in Northern California. Until 2013, she coached volleyball in high school and girls’ and boys’ basketball at four different schools. This dedication has earned her a name in the community.

Besides, at Tomahawk, during their 2023 spring sporting season, Baalke was an assistant for the golf program under coach Garth Gerstenberger.

Trent Baalke’s Wife, Beth Baalke, Was His College Sweetheart

As stated above, Beth, like her hubby, graduated from Bemidji State University. Well, that is where their paths crossed. They tied the knot in 1989, following her graduation. Married for over three decades, Trent has received the utmost love and support from his sweetheart.

Beth and Trent have been married for over three decades.

Due to the demands of her beau’s career, Beth had to make a lot of sacrifices. Unfortunately, she stayed apart from him for years, looking after their children and her career. According to Beth, going with the flow and relaxing are the secrets to their longstanding marriage.

Moreover, the lovebirds travel around the country and the world whenever they are free. Beth has shared many pictures of their vacations on her Facebook.

The Couple Has Two Children

Enjoying their marital life, the Baalkes are also parents to two wonderful kids: Katlynn and Cassie Baalke. The eldest, Katy, was born on August 12, 1991, while the youngest, Cassie, was born on June 17, 1995.

Katy earned her Master’s of Education in 2019. She is also a graduate of San Jose State University. She shares a passion for golf with her mother.

As for Cassie, her mom’s athletic genes did her well as she was a standout basketball player at Bemidji State University and Thompson Valley High School.

The sweethearts have dedicated their lives to these children. However, the demands of Trent’s career compelled him to stay away from his daughters, making them rely on telephones as a mode of communication. Talking about this, Katy said,

It’s normal to us to talk to our dad over the phone every night and not see him every night. That just became normal. Growing up, it became easier the older we got, knowing he’s doing this for the family and not to be selfish.

After the children were of age and moved out, Beth joined her husband and finally started living with him. Katy and Cassie’s lives had both ups and downs because of their father’s career.

Where Is Trent Baalke’s Spouse, Beth, Now?

After Trent was hired by the Jaguars in 2021, the pair bought a house in Glen Karnan Parkway for $1.6 million, financed with a $960,000 mortgage from TIAA Bank.

Their home is quite spacious, with four bedrooms and five bathrooms. It also has a screened-in pool, a summer kitchen, and a four-car garage. The major attraction for golf-loving Beth is the view of the Glen Kernan Golf & Country Club golf course. They are likely still living in that house.
