Although Judge Howard Owens ruled that neither of the parties was responsible for their split, Ann and Jim exchanged comments in the court. The famed broadcaster claimed that his former spouse, Ann wasn’t that fully supportive of his career and would often refuse to travel with him.

He further claimed Lorrie was the one who promoted him to decline the hosting slot for the CBS “Early Show.” He also said that his ex-spouse refused to let him hang an oil painting of himself, a gift of a “Man Of The Year Award” from the New York Athletic Club.

Eventually, a judicial officer noted the two didn’t have a shared interest in Jim’s broadcasting career. The job is full of hustle-bustle, from college football and basketball games to golf courses, as Jim was a CBS commentator.

Lorrie replied that the former celebrity partner tried to attend events as much as it was possible, but when they were not her prime priorities, her major focus was on raising their daughter. Caroline.

Amid their separation, Nantz’s attorney said, “It was an amicable split.” The lawyer further said of Jim, “He always wanted a peaceful resolution of an unfortunate situation. He wants to put it behind him.”
