Owing to a decade of experience, the placekicker for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Brandon McManus, is one of the best in the league. We must not forget to acknowledge Dennis McManus and Susan McManus, his parents, who have played a crucial role in his success.
The McManus couple has contributed significantly to the footballer’s career by raising him to be a hardworking man. Let’s know more about the duo.
How long have Brandon McManus’s Parents been together?
Dennis and Susan McManus got married on November 11, 1984. Their wedding day was on Veterans Day, and the pair have been together for four decades now. Almost every year, Brandon wishes his folks on their special day, celebrating their togetherness.
In 2013, Brandon tweeted commemorating their 29th anniversary. Similarly, in 2016, he shared a lovely photo of the pair making confetti angels.
Dennis McManus and Susan McManus’s Marital Life
After exchanging their vows, the married pair settled in Lansdale in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and currently reside in Hatfield. Alongside having spent most of their life together, the very much-in-love couple share a playful bond. It looks like they also love playing golf.
Well, the Jaguars star had dedicated his 1000th tweet to his father and mother. He stated how miserable his old man was walking around the Merion from hole to hole since his mother walked slowly.

Throughout their marriage, Dennis and Susan welcomed two children. Along with the kicker himself, they have a daughter, Lauren McManus. She has been married to Andrew Meyers since July 4, 2015.
Lauren graduated from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s degree in science and health services. She later attended Duquesne University and graduated in 2014 with a degree in nursing. Brandon’s sister is a clinical operations lead at Laguna Health located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The McManus couple are former athletes
It won’t be wrong to say that the 33-year-old inherited his athleticism from both his parents. Brandon’s father, Dennis, was a wrestler and soccer player. Meanwhile, his mother, Susan, was a part of the basketball and tennis teams at Philadelphia University.
As a result, the McManus pair encouraged their children to be involved in sports as well. Brandon’s elder sister was also a soccer player at Slippery Rock University. Lauren was one of the top goalies in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) in 2008, representing her school, North Penn High School.
Susan McManus is the director of a candy-making company
Unlike her son, Susan did not pursue a career in sports and went on to work at a food distributor and supplier company, Performance Food Group, in 1987. She is the director of national accounts for its subsidiary Vistar. It is America’s premier and biggest candy, snack, and beverage distributor.
Moreover, the woman is the past president of the Tri-State Merchandising Council. She has been active in the organization for several years and was later even on the board.
The player’s mom is a known face in the vending industry and has been with her company for over thirty years. The footballer himself was familiar with the industry and attended a few Vistar Mid-Atlantic trade shows. He even accompanied his old woman to a Vendors Purchasing Council (now Unified Strategies Group) meeting held in Florida.
In 2016, Susan mentioned to the Vending Times that her son’s favorite candy bar was Hershey’s Fastbreak.
Both Of Susan’s Parents Are No Longer With Us
Susan was born as Susan Noskow to Arnold Noskow and Charlotte Schuster Noskow. She has a brother, Henry Noskow. Unfortunately, both of her parents have already passed away. Her father died on March 16, 2018, and her mother followed on March 31, 2023.
Dennis McManus was born into a Big Family
Dennis was born in December, 1954, to Eleanor McManus. His mother worked as an embosser for the printing company Day-Timers, Inc., located in Macungie for almost two decades. Unfortunately, she passed away on December 14, 2013.

The player’s father is second among five siblings. He has two brothers, Kevin and Brian, along with two sisters, Kathleen and Maureen.
They are their son’s biggest fans
Since childhood, Brandon was encouraged by his parents to try out sports. After he found his calling in football, he had their full support. When the kicker was playing college football, he said,
They were always running us around to different sporting events. They really just kept motivating me. Once I was able to make it here at Temple they continued to support me through everything I have done here. They are just as proud of me as I am of myself.
However, neither Dennis nor Susan expected their little one to join the NFL and reach new heights in the sports. They have been the happiest people upon their son’s success and are present at every one of his games to cheer for him.
In 2016, the two even did a full confetti angel after McManus and his former team, the Denver Broncos, won the Super Bowl.
Furthermore, the duo also get along with their daughter-in-law Nadia McManus and are adoring grandparents to their son’s three kids, Caden, Luca, and Oliver.
