Aaron started playing football in high school where he was named in the All-State team. Soon after joining college, he started playing college football as a defensive end and became an outside linebacker during his senior year. Chubb was in the top 20 in career tackles in Bulldog history.
After his graduation, he was working a part-time job in a shipping company when he got picked by the New England Patriots in 1989. He was one of the three linebackers drafted in the NFL during the 1980s.

After his retirement from the NFL, Chubb has been working as a territory manager at Lorillard Tobacco Company since 2013. Besides his main source of income, he is also actively working at the Chubb Foundation, founded by his two sons, Brandon Chubb, and Bradley Chubb.

Aaron Met His Future Wife In College – They Are The ’90s Couple
Aaron met his wife, Carmen Stacey Chubb at the University of Georgia, and they have been inseparable ever since. As a matter of fact, she was with him when he was drafted by the Patriots.
The couple tied the knot after several years of dating and gave birth to two sons. They are still going strong after years of togetherness and have been there for their children at each step of their lives. These two are also working together at the foundation.
Chubb’s Sons Followed In His Footsteps To NFL
Both of his sons played football in their high school and college. His firstborn, Brandon Chubb was signed by the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2016. He has hopped from one team to another in the past few years. Brandon is currently a free agent after the Carolina Panthers released him from the practice squad in 2019.
As for his younger child, Bradley was selected by the Denver Broncos in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. In 2022, he was traded to the Miami Dolphins and has been playing for them ever since.

The Cleveland Browns running back, Nick Chubb’s father Henry and Aaron are related. Their ancestors settled close to Cedartown and freed black men during the Civil War. They formed a community and named their town Chubbtown where they took care of themselves.
Aaron used to play football with Henry but lost touch when Henry went to Valdosta State. Once he heard of Nick Chubb, he knew there had to be a connection. They met for the first time in Cedartown in 2013.
All the kids are proud of their heritage. when asked about their family, Brandon, Aaron’s elder son, said, “It would be a great opportunity for the family. You start as a family that was never slaves, and now you’ve got all these people in college ball. Hopefully, we can keep it going to the next generation.”
