Aidan Hutchinson’s Parents Celebrated Their 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2020

Aidan’s folks have been together for over three decades now. Chris and Melissa dated for more than two years before exchanging their vows on June 24, 1995. In 2020, to commemorate their 25 years of walking down the aisle, Melissa wore her wedding veil and shared some romantic snips of Chris carrying her.

Having spent most of their life together, the two know each other inside out and, to this day, make each other feel special.

Relationship Since 1992; Parents Of Three

The Hutchinson couple’s love has stood the test of time. The two first met on November 24, 1992, on the night of an Ohio State game. Melissa went into labor with her first child, Mia Hutchinson, exactly four years later in 1996.

The married pair have three children together. Aidan is the youngest and has two older sisters. Their second child, Aria Hutchinson, was born on February 3, 1998, while the player himself was born to the couple on August 9, 2000.

Aidan’s dad used to play college football

Hutchinson is not the only athlete in the family and in fact, followed his father’s footsteps into the sport. Well, Chris was a defensive tackle and an outside linebacker for the Michigan Wolverines team. He played for the University of Michigan from 1989 to 1993.

As a footballer, the man was a co-captain of the team in 1992 and was also named the Big Ten Lineman of the Year. Moreover, he was also a three-time recipient of the Athletic Academic Achievement Award in his university.

During his time playing college football, Chris received the John F. Maulbetsch Award as the most outstanding freshman. Later, he accepted the Meyer Morton Award as the team’s most improved player from spring practice. Alongside these, his list of honors also includes the Dick Katcher Award for being the most outstanding defensive lineman for the team and the Bo Schembechler Award as the team’s MVP.

Chris Later Diverted His Career

While Aidan’s father showed immense talent and could have pursued a professional football career, he decided to quit the sport after the 1993 Rose Bowl. Using his NCAA post-graduate scholarship, he enrolled in the University of Michigan Medical School.

The father of three graduated with a degree in medicine in 1997 and has been working as an emergency medicine specialist. Currently, he is affiliated with Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, as a level-one trauma ER physician.

Furthermore, Aidan’s second sister, Aria, is following in their father’s footsteps and attending the School of Medicine-Wayne State University. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2021, attaining a degree in neuroscience, and is set to graduate from medical school in 2027.

Chris Hutchinson was born on December 17, 1969, to Dale Richardson Hutchinson and Nancy Marie Hutchinson in Houston. He has two brothers, Craig Hutchinson and Mark Hutchinson. The former was a police sergeant in the Travis County of Texas and unfortunately died in 2016.

Meanwhile, Chris’ mother was an emergency room nurse in his hometown. It was Nancy that inspired him to go down the path of health care.

While Chris is in the medical field, Melissa works as a freelance artist and photographer. Her work is concerned with storytelling through art and is based in Detroit.

Moreover, the gorgeous lady was the pageant winner for the Miss Michigan Teen USA in 1988. She has maintained her beauty to this day, and some people even thought that she was her son’s girlfriend upon seeing their photos together.

One of her daughters, Aria, also participated in the Miss Michigan USA in 2022 and was declared the winner. Meanwhile, her eldest daughter, Mia, is following in her footsteps as a photographer and even has her own studio.

Melissa Hutchinson Comes From A Reputed Family

Melissa, née Sinkevics, was born on July 13, 1972, to Richard Sinkevics and Kathy Bernardi Morley. Her father went to Western Military Academy and is a former warranty administrator at Ford Motor Company. Meanwhile, her mother owns Pepino’s Restaurant located in Michigan along with her son-in-law.

Melissa’s parents are no longer together and have different partners.

The beautiful woman was raised with her older brother, Rick Sinkevics, with whom she shares a close bond to this day. Rick is a landscape designer and contractor.

Aidan has the full support of his parents

The defensive end’s parents, themselves, being involved in the sports and creative field, don’t have a problem with their children exploring the world either. Melissa and Chris are fully supportive of their son’s choices and continuously encourage the guy to pursue his dreams.

It is their great parenting that has enabled the footballer to have the confidence to tackle the world. The pair also attend each one of their kid’s games and are the proudest parents. The two raised their children to be able to express themselves and do what they loved.

Chris always told his offspring to work hard and have fun. He didn’t care if his kids were good at what they did, but the fact that they tried was the important part.
