Marcus Mariota is an American football quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. Tennessee Titans drafted Mariota in the 2015 NFL draft, where he played for five seasons.

He was born to Alana Deppe-Mariota (mother) and Toa Mariota (father) on October 30, 1993, in Honolulu, Hawaii. His younger brother, Matt, is also a football player.

Mariota was a two-sport star in high school at the Saint Louis School in Honolulu. He played college football for the Oregon Ducks from the 2011 season to the 2014 season.

Marcus is happily married to Kiyomi Cook. The two are college sweethearts who met at the University of Oregon in 2014. His wife, Cook played for the University’s women’s soccer team.

They made their relationship public in 2015. They were also seen together at an NFL Draft party in Honolulu. Mariota and Cook tied the knot in December 2021, a year after their engagement. They gave birth to their first child, a daughter, Makaia on December 7, 2022.
