Jonathan Allen is a defensive tackle for the Washington Commanders. He played college football at Alabama where he was named the Defensive Player of the Year award in the 2016 season. The Washington Commanders selected Allen in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
He was born in Anniston, Alabama to Richard Allen II. Jonathan considers his father a hero. He said his family went through a lot of challenges when he was young, however, his dad never wavered. Jonathan added his dad was always there for him and his brother Richard Allen III.
His father is a US Army veteran who was once deployed in the Republic of South Korea as a nuclear biological chemical warfare specialist. Besides, Jonathan’s mother battled with mental health issues.
Talking about his personal life, Jonathan has been married to Hannah Fanklin since 2018. The now husband and wife tied the knot on July 7, 2018, at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
