She was born Mackenzie Nicole Dempsey on March 10, 1992, in Cedartown to Rick Dempsey and Brenda Dempsey. Her parents are also from Cedartown but they currently reside in Cave Spring Georgia. Mackenzie’s mother is a housewife while her father is a retired game Warden. The couple has been married for more than 43 years.
Mrs. Andrews is pretty close to her parents and constantly shares pictures of the two on her social media platforms.
Furthermore, David’s wife spent most of her early life in her hometown completing her high school at Cedartown High School. Similarly, she completed her bachelor’s degree in Science and Health Promotion from the University of Georgia in 2015.

Mackenzie currently works at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Cambridge. According to her since-deleted LinkedIn profile, she joined the hospital back in May 2016 as an intern.
Previously, Dempsey worked as a management trainee at Parallon in Rome, Georgia, working under Patient Access Supervisor and Manager.
Besides, the New England Patriots center’s wife was a cheerleader. As a matter of fact, she started cheerleading when she was just two years old. Mackenzie has been an all-star cheerleader since fifth grade. She even joined the University of Georgia cheerleading team and was picked to cheer for the football, basketball, and gymnastic events.
During an interview with North West Georgia News in 2011, Dempsey said,
I always wanted to go to Georgia. It’s the home state school and it will continue my tradition of wearing red and black on the sidelines and cheering for the Bulldogs.
She added, “I had gone to a cheerleading camp there in middle school and ever since then I wanted to cheer at UGA.”

Mackenzie and the love of her life, David got married on April 8, 2017, at Walnut Hill Farm Event Center, Dalton, Georgia. They had an intimate wedding ceremony surrounded by close friends and family members. The bride wore a beautiful white gown while her handsome hunk was in a blue suit.

It’s been well over 7 years since their marriage and both of them are pretty happy with their love life. They constantly share pics of one another on their socials and don’t shy away from expressing their love for one another.
The couple currently reside in their beautiful home in Massachusetts along with their son and two German shepherds.
The Couple Are Parents To Son James Ford Andrews
David and Mackenzie are not just a great couple but they are also parents to their son, James Ford Andrews. He was born on August 9, 2021, and weighed in at 9.3 lbs and was 21 inches at birth. Both of his parents shared the news on their Instagram a day later. David expressed his gratitude with the picture of the newly born alongside his wife saying,
Words don’t really do it justice what the last couple of days have been like. But I do know this we are so blessed. I also know that my wife is as tough as nails.
He further wrote, “James Ford welcome to Earth. Love ya son Go Dawgs.”
Similarly, Mrs. Andrews also took to Instagram to share a picture of her son and said that she was utterly obsessed with him. The family recently celebrated James’s second birthday and it looks like their son is a fan of “Buzz Lightyear” from the Toy Story franchise.
Mackenzie Met Her Husband At the University of Georgia
As we said earlier, Mackenzie and her spouse David met at the University of Georgia. Andrews was playing as a center for the college team Georgia Bulldogs, while Dempsey was the cheerleader.
It was David who fell head over heels in love with Mackenzie at first sight and kept trying to impress her. However, it wasn’t as easy for the 2 times Super Bowl champion as one may think. As a matter of fact, he was in Dempsey’s friend zone for quite some time as she mentioned with The Knot.
But in the fall of their junior year, she gave in and the duo went on their first date, and as they say, the rest is history.
Andrews Proposed To Mackenzie At Sanford Stadium In October 2015
In October 2015, David built up the courage to ask Dempsey the big question. He got down on one knee and popped the question to the love of his life on the 50-yard line of Stanford Stadium.

Mackenzie said Yes! without hesitation in front of her closest friends and both of their family members waiting in the stand. The lovebirds celebrated and afterward went downtown to General Beauregard’s bar to celebrate with other friends and family members. Coincidentally, it was the same bar that David and Mackenzie had their first kiss in 2013.
