Jerry and Meghan met when they were teenagers. They first crossed paths at Driver’s ed. Meghan at the time was in her high school sophomore year while Jerry was in his junior year.

They first started talking through a mutual friend after which they hit it off, said Meghan during an interview with Better Half Of The Bill.

The couple moved in together when they were at college. Jerry went to TCU while his then-future wife studied at Marshall University. Meghan says that she and the defensive end did have their ups and downs during their relationship.

It was Jerry who proposed that they move in together.

Jerry and Meghan got engaged in Buffalo. Afterward, the couple got their marriage license on April 6, 2015. Jerry took to his Twitter to show the certificate of his marriage with Meghan. Then a couple of days later, the Texans no. 55 Jerry Hughes and Meghan married on April 11, 2015.

The wedding took place at The Houstonian Hotel, Club, and Spa. The bride’s dress was an Ivory Mori Lee Lace from Ventura’s Bridal Fashion. The groom on the other hand sported a purple suit from Blooming Gallery.

The nuptials had a DJ from Signature Even TX and a Quartet from Divisi Strings. The ceremony also included a surprise celebrity performance from the Best Of Me singer Anthony Cornelius Hamilton.

The Pair Share Four Children

The interracial couple, Jerry and Meghan had their first son, Jerry Hughes III (JR) in Feb 2016. They welcomed their second child a daughter named Hayden Robinson on Nov 18, 2017. Jerry and Meghan added a third child, Jack Richmond Hughes on June 23, 2021. The couple likewise had their fourth, son, Holt Robinson Hughes on Feb 23, 2023.

About Jerry’s Wife Meghan And Her Family

Jerry’s wife, Meghan was born Meghan Robinson on August 29, 1988, in Houston Texas. She however grew up in Sugarland, Texas.

Meghan is the daughter of the late Frederick I Robinson Jr. and Mary Beth. Meghan’s father, Frederick was a second lieutenant and served in the United States Army as an Armor Officer. After the army, Frederick worked for Iron Mountain in New York and Houston. He later became an Executive Vice President of Energy Services.

Mrs Hughes lost her father in Feb 2019. Meghan’s dad died after battling with ALS.

Besides, Meghan has three siblings, a brother, Brett Robinson, and two sisters, Emily Posey and Lauren.

Meghan was on the Swimming And Diving roster during her time at Marshall University.

During her freshman year, Meghan had one of the team’s best times in the 50-yard freestyle. She clocked a 28.51 at the Miami Invitational. That year, she also set personal bests in the 100 free and the 200 free at Miami.

Meghan notched a career-best time in the 100 butterfly at the C USA Championship during her sophomore year. During her junior year at the C USA Championships, Meghan recorded three career-best times.

Prior to college, Meghan was a regional finalist and Gulf Zone qualifier at Stephen F Austin High School. She finished second in her district and set school records in multiple events. She was also the winner of national zone titles with First Colony Aquatics.
