Tress Way And Brianna Turang Have Been Married For Almost A Decade
The NFL player, Tress Way married a softball and soccer player, Brianna Turang on July 5, 2014. These two have been together for almost a decade now and their love has only grown. The couple lives in Aldie, Virginia with their three kids.
These two got their marriage license a month before they exchanged vows. They uploaded their wedding video which was filled with love and emotions. The bride looked gorgeous in a white dress that the groom couldn’t stop staring at. They went to Jamaica for their honeymoon.
Tress And Brianna Are The Atheltic Couple
Way and Turang both went to the University of Oklahoma but they never met until Tress saw her on TV. When they first met each other at the college cafeteria they were both in a relationship. He was dating one of her soccer teammates while she was dating one of his teammates. He walked towards her and said,
Hi Bri, my name is Tress. I just wanted to let you know that I’m down to give this a shot here. You are absolutely gorgeous, I’ve heard nothing but great things about you, and I’d love to get to know you.
They became friends after they broke up with their respective partners, and soon became best friends and the rest is history. The player took his girl hiking for the 4th of July celebration, where they fell in love.
They also had their first dance in the parking spot. The couple knew they were the one for each other after their first deep conversation in a game room at their FCA leader’s house. He later proposed to his girlfriend at the same spot. Starting in 2012, the lovebirds dated for nine months before getting engaged.
Way Proposed To Turang The Day Before He Signed First NFL Deal
Tress signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent on April 28, 2013. He had already made up his mind to propose to his girl and initially, he wanted to buy a bigger ring after getting his paycheck. However, he knew Bri would rather have a ring that she knew he got with his hard work. He called his girlfriend for dinner saying he wanted to celebrate his success with her.
The player got help from his friends and family for his epic proposal. Two of his friends picked Bri up from her house recording the whole process with a camera. They took her to the places where she shared memories with the player, she met her loved ones there who spoke to her and wished her happiness before sending her to the next stop.
Finally, the last stop was the game room where they had their first deep conversation and Way was waiting at the door for her. He got on his knees and of course, Bri said yes. She was sobbing at every stop and couldn’t believe when her boyfriend proposed.
They Are The Parents Of Three Children
Brianna announced their pregnancy on Instagram with photos of the couple with balloons spelled as babies in 2017. That was their way to break the news that they were expecting twins in April 2018.
Beau William and Harper Lynne joined the Way family on April 9, 2018. The new mother thanked Jesus for having her babies home and healthy. They even visited their dad in his training camp within a year of their birth.
Tress shared that everyone expects their children to be professional athletes but he just can’t wait to see what God does in their lives. After a year and a half of having the twins, she announced her second pregnancy at the end of 2019. They welcomed their youngest child, Hadley Rae on April 25, 2020.
Date Nights Are Consistent In Their Marriage
Both of them are fans of date nights. Even before their wedding, Tress liked to plan cute dates for them. Even though they have been married for several years now, they usually go on family vacations during player’s off-season.
Bri shared on her Instagram how they have made date nights their priority. The kids, careers, and sports can exhaust them but they try hard to make date nights happen consistently. She even encouraged others to do the same.
Brianna Is An Athlete Turned Nurse
Bri is the oldest child of former professional baseball outfielder, Brian Turang and Carrie Turang. Her mother played twice in the Women’s College World Series for Long Beach State. She now helps her husband manage the T2 Training Center where Brian trains the athletes.
Brianna grew up in Corona, California with her siblings, Bailee Turang, Carrissa Pasque, Cabria Spady, and Brice Turang. The only son in the family, Brice is an American professional baseball infielder for the Milwaukee Brewers.
Talking about her education, she went to Santiago High School. She then joined the University of Oklahoma for a degree in nursing. She is now a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurse at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia. Following in her footsteps, all her younger sisters have also chosen a nursing career.
