After dating for a long time, Calais tied the knot to Rocio on July 8, 2017. Mrs. Campbell announced their union some days later, on July 14, by posting a picture of their hands with the caption, “Mr. and Mrs. Campbell.”

Similarly, the lovebirds often attend several events together. Rocio has always been by her husband’s side and supported his dreams and aspirations. They have embraced the ups and downs of their journey, and the athlete’s wife consistently thanks him for being the best husband ever.

The feeling is mutual between the pair as Campbell also thanked his partner, alongside his mother, Nateal, when he was honored with the prestigious Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.

The Football Star Thought Rocio Was Wife Material The Moment He Saw Her

The couple’s paths first crossed in 2012 at the Waste Management Phoenix Open golf tournament. The two somehow got talking, and Rocio had left such an impression that Campbell told his friend she had “marriage potential.”

Plus, he did not know if he would see her again.

Similarly, Calais had taken a chance by asking his now-wife for her number. But she only took his number and did not share hers. Knowing that he was an athlete was a turnoff for Rocio as she did not have much football knowledge.

However, things changed when she learned about his commitment to the family.

By their second date, they had talked about their goals in life and having kids. They first became public in 2013 when Rocio uploaded their photo as her profile picture on April 25, 2013. The rest is history.

Calais And His Partner, Rocio, Have Two Children

Three years after their nuptials, they welcomed their first child, Dakari Calais Campbell, on May 5, 2020. Dakari means happiness/joy, and he was that to his parents.

Being a father was always a lifelong dream of Calais, so he was pretty stoked. The pair had opted not to reveal the gender of the kid until he arrived. Talking about the birth, Rocio said,

I didn’t see the baby right away, but I could see from Calais’ smile and tone he was very excited. They put the baby on my chest, and he had to peek under the blanket to look [to determine the gender]. He got excited when he saw it was a boy.

The defensive end was eager to be a mentor to his baby. He wanted to pass on everything his late father taught him.

While they were enjoying the bliss of parenthood, loving their son, another one was on the way. Rocio announced her pregnancy on November 4, 2023; she was pretty far along then. Ten days later, she revealed her newborn, whom she referred to as Baby Z.
